Female Sex Spray Coming Soon?

According to Vivus, a new pharmaceutical company out of California, the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is currently reviewing their proposal for Phase 3 (the first two phases have already been completed) development and testing of a new Testosterone Spray for women.
The metered dose transdermal spray (MDTS) would treat the low female sex drive by providing a very small, but sustained dose of testosterone for a period of about 24-hours.
According to the Vivus website, this dosage would be enough to restore the hormone to the normal range in women with low testosterone levels. Testosterone is partially responsible for creating a desire for sex in both men and women.
Given that it is difficult for even a male under the age of 50 to obtain testosterone for the purpose of increasing his sex drive or fighting obesity, I am unsure as to how likely it is that the FDA will approve the same hormone for women in their 30’s who have a low sex drive. If they do, it would open up a whole new product marketing area in the realm of hormone replacement therapy for females with Libido Enhancement Drugs.
